I'll wear this purse out like I wore you out! ;)

Ok, 2 weeks ago, i went to Aldo with my mom 'cause she needed a new purse to carry 'cause she's going on a holiday. and i found this awesome purse, it's Aldo's POSKITT bag, that i've been carrying around wherever i go. Yes, i took it to the bar, TWICE. faux pas? i think not. it actually works with a oversized crop top and a high-waist skirt. =)

i actually am known for carrying oversized purses, but this one that i got isn't really oversized. it's good-sized shoulder bag, which i think is perfect for the summer. i could just see my self wearing it w jean shorts, a nice flowy top, natural(fake) wavy hair, and a pair of awesome sunglasses while walking around downtown or having lunch at patio restaurant with friends.

in addition, i just got a new spring jacket and it definitely compliments it. so im a happy camper. =)

surprisingly, im using it as a school bag this past week,and i hate myself for doing that, 'cause i usually wreck my school bags 'cause i overstuff them w books, pointed pens that even the toughest purses do not resist the pokes and holes from the sharp objects i keep in my purses. haha

so i kinda laid off from using it, just to preserve it for the summer months, so im back to my beat-up oversized hobo bag of the same colour (that is my absolute favorite), or my dakine backpack =S <---which ruins my outfits ALL THE TIME!

so yea, i love this purse i got it on sale for $30, it was originally $60 (canadian), so i got a good deal for it. check out www.aldo.com for deets!

thinking why my sister is watching Sesame Street at this time,

Sephora by O.P.I. Nail Polish is like falling inlove!

so! i was never an O.P.I. fan, nor was i a big fan of $12.50 per bottle nailpolish, but i should say that i am absolutely inlove with Sephora by O.P.I. 's Ocean Love Potion.

it is the prettiest teal colour that is perfect for spring/summer. Teal accessories are in this spring, but i think ill be skimping on buying the latest teal satchel from H&M and will be sporting my teal nails =)

i usually have to put 3 coats if i want my revlon nailpolish to pop, but for O.P.I., all i need is 2! well, for $12.50 it better does something better than my reliable drugstore brands.

i've been wearing it for 2 weeks now and i've had some people compliment it. i recently bought "Im Wired!" from the same brand (yeah, i see an obsession coming...) and it is the nicest coral nailpolish i've seen in a while, and like teal, coral is one of the colours of spring 2010. i havent worn it, i'm still waiting for the perfect warm weather to wear it. but i'm already excited. i'll give you guys a full review of it ASAP. =)

thinking her sister's dark toe polish is SOOO last fall,
Kate =)

step into my high heels!

so! i have decided to start a blog. what sparked this moment?
my 5 inch heels. i was staring at them, looking at how pretty they look just sitting on my closet shelf, thinking, "How could these pretty little things harm anybody?" ..and then my head rewinded back to last saturday where i was leaning on the bar at a local club, not because i was drunk, well maybe, but mostly because i was in soooo much pain i had to end the night early.

and in my head, i cant just be the only one in the world who experience these kinds of fashion and beauty mishaps, i mean, there could be atleast one person in the world who looks gorgeous in heels, but cannot last a whole night in them.

im Kate, i am a college freshman (almost done) in a small city here in the great white north. i moved here when i was 16, and i probably experienced culture shock for 3 months 'til i decided that it is where i am going to be living permanently so i have to suck it up and adapt! and so i did.

the then 15 (almost 16) year-old who didnt care about new clothes and shopping, but absolutely adored make up, but was forbidden by her overbearing father to wear broke out of her shell and went on her fashion and beauty adventures. together with adjusting to a new country where, from trees to people were foreign in her eyes.

here i am, almost 6 years later, fluent in english (who doesnt stop talking, mind you), absolutely inlove with clothes, shoes and make up and high on life's ups and downs. join me in my journey through bad hair days, outfits that clash, chipped nailpolish, crappy part time jobs, sketchy boys, parents, university life, and life itself.

they said, you will not know what a person is like unless you walk a day in her shoes (or something like that =) ), so step into my 5 inch heels, feel the height, feel the perfection, but ofcourse like life, my heels could be exhausting to wear. but still, again, like life, we keep on wearing them.

thinking there's a bread-crumb in her hair,
Kate. =)
